 Freelance Environmental Journalist

me

I  am fortunate to have spent most of my life in Menorca, Spain, though I  returned to the UK to study Zoology and Marine Biology.  In 2017 I began writing articles about the sea and agriculture for Roqueta magazine. I also translate from Spanish and Catalan into English for the magazine’s ornithologist and ethnobotanist.

Since taking courses in popular science writing and sub-editing for journalism, I have published aquaculture articles for animal rights organisations Sentient Media and Ethical Seafood Research.

I love to travel with a purpose and so I volunteer on organic farms in France most winters. My favourite part is going on adventures in the campervan and poking my nose into other folks’ businesses to get new stories. My latest is on diving in a bluefin tuna farm in Tarragona.

Currently based in the UK, when not writing, I work for the Soil Association sampling biodiversity on farms.
