Freelance Environmental Journalist

I’ve spent most of my life in the sea in Menorca, Spain, though I  returned to the UK to study zoology and marine biology.  Since 2017, I’ve been writing articles about the sea and agriculture for Roqueta magazine. I also translate from Spanish and Catalan into English for the magazine’s ornithologist and ethnobotanist.

Since taking courses in popular science writing and sub-editing for journalism, I’ve published aquaculture articles for animal rights organisations Sentient Media and Ethical Seafood Research. In my spare time, I’m writing a book about my pig.

When not writing, I work for the Soil Association sampling biodiversity on farms in England. This last year, however, I’ve been in Sweden playing with canoes, camera traps, wild boar and moose. To gain accreditation in regenerative agriculture, I’m currently training to become an Ecological Outcome Verification monitor with the Savory Institute.
